This is a simple and easy to use weekly spelling template for students to record 10 weekly spelling words and then write sentences for each. Please make sure to rate and leave feedback!

This is a 4 page booklet designed around a lesson about keeping teeth clean. Students will make a statement about what will happen to teeth when we don't clean them, and will write a question about the experiment. Then students will each take an egg and coat it with a mixture of crushed cereal and milk or water. The mixture needs to be quite sticky so that it creates a coating on the egg shell. The crushed cereal mixture is to simulate "chewed food" while the egg represents a tooth. Once the egg is coated, students place the egg in a cup or bowl and leave it to dry. This may take about 3-5 days depending on the room temperature, so it is best to start this experiment at the beginning of the week. On the final day, students examine their eggs, and feel what happened to the food (it should have solidified). They then take a toothbrush and try to brush as much of the food off as possible. This should be quite challenging and may require excess force. If some students are too rough, the egg will break, which can simulate tooth decay in real life. Students then complete the rest of the experiment booklet.

This is a great book to use during a Community Helpers unit. Photocopy these pages back to back, or as individual worksheets. Students decorate the person depending on what their job is. They also label the name of the job and give a description of how that person helps the community. This packet includes 16 pages.

I tried stickers with the words, or stamps on their hands, so that the word was always close by if they needed to refer to it during class. But stamps wash away and stickers lose their stick, so I came up with bracelets. Mine are colored for each different sight word that the students are working on. It helps differentiate if they are working on more than one sight word at a time. Simply print, cut, and tape around your student's wrists, so they can easily wear what they are learning!

This Homework Survey was created with a student's home life in mind in addition to trying to make a teacher's life a little bit easier. Many times teachers go back and forth regarding homework: assign it and no one completes it, or enforce a zero homework policy and upset parents that there isn't any practice to be done at home. This survey allows teachers to assess a student's home life and activities away from school to determine what kind of homework might be best, how long it should take, in what form a student should complete their homework, etc...
